UK Civil Service: Department Social Security (DSS)

I represented  IBM in support of the DSS contract in Lytham St Annes, UK.

This was another Systems Integration role though for reasons of bureaucracy it was not as satisfying as the Tesco or ASDA integration roles performed at the similar timeframe.

I performed the detailed integration and testing work for the IBM part of the tri supplier infrastructure the the DSS now of course renamed Department of Work and Pensions  (DWP).

The work included:

• Systems Integration of basic RS/6000 AIX systems with AIX 3.2.5
• Writing testing scripts and documentation
• Using operating and troubleshooting the test Harness based on Sun Hardware and Solaris
• Functional and Load testing
• Work with X.400 and X.25
